In my opinion, yoast is the best one, do not waste your time for searching for another plugin. And to put your analytic code, just head of to Theme Settings in your admin area and put the code in the text box with title Tracking code.

Check out W3 Total Cache, you will provide the Google Analytics ID. It's very simple

I've just signed up for Analytics. Had some trouble at first with the tracking status just saying "tracking not installed". I pasted the code into footer.php and it seems to be working now

Dear..If you want to implement Google Analytics code in your wordpress, go wp-admin and next go editor and use header tag and paste analytics code there. When you will put that code in right places and then verify your Google Analytic code from Google Analytics Account.

This probably a database error or some issue from your hosting provider. Just re-install wordpress and it would fix the database. If it still not works then contact your hosting provider.

Google analytics is still the best. It's more accurate compared to the other analytics available in the market.
