Analytics Down for 4 hours! Anybody else missing data?

I noticed two days ago when checking one of my sites, that my stats were down by about 20-30 % or so. I did not worry to much about it and just put it down to a bad day. I did find it strange that my AdSense stats were normal.

Then when I was checking yesterdays stats, (which are also down on average) I noticed that the previous days stats (the bad day) had risen by a few hundred visits. It was like Google had found the missing numbers and corrected the stats for that day.

Checking today's stats I noticed I am way down on numbers (about 40% for this time of day) So in the Visitors overview >> Visits, then the hours tab. I found 4 hours completely missing (showing no visits) and also the hours either side were way down to. But again, AdSense stats are normal.

Any body else seeing the same?

It's possible to happen if you don't have visitors on for 4 hours. But I don't think google analytics has been down that time.

 

It was fine for me... I think it was lack of visitors.

 

It could be because Analytics was on scheduled maintenance.

 

That's what I thought at first, I wondered if the server had failed.
But I use the whos.amung.us widget on the site, and it shows there were active users over the period that Analytics shows no visitors.

I think its down too, I dont have all visits for yesterday, and for today also nothing. It will work soon, I guess.

 

OK, I'm glad its not just me.. yeah I think it will come right soon, and (hopefully) update the stats to where they should be.

i had a similar issue. on hit tail it said i had 150 visits and google said i had 25 all day.

 

yep google and all its things are going through a little wobble at this moment

May be your host was down :/

 

My stats are showing zero page views on 9/17 between 10am and 3pm (US ET). I came here looking for confirmation on this same problem, so I'm glad to see that it was an Analytics problem and not something wrong with my site.

 

Now it works
But my awstats showing still 0 of visits for yesterday!?

is this happened with your one site only or all?

 

I have just checked the stats of another site (hosted on the same server) and it does not have any missing data.

The site which has missing data for the 4 hours, still has that data missing.

I think I can remember this happening one other time, and if I recall correctly, it took a few days for the data to update and show up in Analytics.

It was down for me too but no loss of data...at least now.

it can be because your server was down, its possible because analytics was working as well, just check whether your website was down for that 4 hour.

 

My stats are working fine, anyone have this problem?
