I'm trying to do something that is fairly straightforward, so I'm sure others have run into it, but I'm running into alot of hurdles. Here's the situation: I am currently advertising with Adwords, Shopzilla, Shopping.com, and Froogle. I would like to be able to see which sites are converting for me and spend my time/money accordingly. I believe I have Adwords conversion tracking set up correctly. However, when I try to set up Cross Channel tracking, it wants me to place code on every single one of my product pages. Ok, I could do that (even though it is a PITA), but as I understand it I'd have to place different code for Shopzilla, Froogle, and Shopping.com on every product page. Would this even work? I know this is probably a question better suited for the Adwords team, but really I wanted to see how other people are doing this because I'm sure someone else is running these campaigns (or similar) and wants to see the same data I do. Thanks in advance.
Yes it works and is a good idea to track it. Just make sure that the page has all different tracking code and you use different link provided for url for each conversion - pay attencion to do not misspealing the provided url. But a single user will always only activate only a single tracking: for example: if I click on one of your adWords ads but I do not buy your product direcly, I go to Froogle and find your product and buy your product: I'll activate your Froggle conversion (the last one) but will not activate the Adword conversion - this is the best make sense way that it could work.
