I have a site that I just added the wordpress mobile plugin to I want to add analytics to it. Is the Analytics code different for mobile or do I use the same code? Where do I put the code? In the same spot, before the closing body tag?

You can basically add the same code as that is for the normal site.
Reason being that, most modern phones browsers are capable of executing JavaScript. Statistics show that mobile users browse more on smartphones than lower end phones (source: eMarketer), and they do execute JavaScript.

Also, GA shows report on Mobile devices even if you use the standard tracking code.
On Wordpress, there is a 'General Stats' plugin into which you can add GA tracking code. It goes into each page irrespective of the theme which is shown up - normal website or mobile.
