Analytics and Data Sharing

I'm a little confused about the "Google Analytics Data Sharing Settings."

I looged on today and it wanted me to accept some kind of data sharing. The alert read as follows:

I'm confused about how my Analytics can enable features with AdSense or vice-versa. Is it in my best interest to accept or decline the data sharing?

I'd be interested in any thoughts or discussion that relates to this.

    Thanks.

I think if you are using adsense , it will be good to accept as it can help to boost your earnings. Coz they use this to attract advertisers and in providing more targeted ads.

It can be a good tool to analyse your traffic and act accordingly to improve your adsense revenue and optimise adwords spendings.

    Webmastergairy--

"Good tool to analyze your traffic" -- Sure, Analytics is a good tool to analyze traffic, but I'm not sure what that has to do with data sharing settings.

"Act accordinly to improve your adsense earnings" -- AdSense just pops up automatically. What settings would I be able to change in alalytics that would affect my adsense? This is the part that confuses me.

I accepted it too, but I'm always wary about them collecting data/information. What if it is eventually used against me somehow to lower revenue....? What if it is somehow used to alter the system in a way that benefits my competition...?
