I"m looking over my stats in cpanel and comparing with google analytics... Why is such difference? But what about accuracy? Which one is more accurate?

I used statcounter and google analytics, but their was huge difference between stats? why is so? I see stat counter more easy to use but went with google analytics because it is free

I used to hate google analytics, but in my experience it has improved significantly recently.

Awstats and Webalizer and things like that tend to include all page hits, and some even do it as individual elements of a page. Google Analytics doesn't include bots and only shows a hit per time the code in your header (i'm assuming thats where it is) is pinged.

Google Analytic is really a good tool to analyze the website, their traffic and other parameters.

Google Analytics is notorious for not counting all traffic to your website. It seems Google is rather arrogant about weeding out certain traffic. My website is extremely popular and Google never reflects what other direct measure sites show. Unfortunately for the past several weeks I have had difficulty with AWSTATS not updating. I also use Opentracker and Quantcast.

Google analytics is quite good, just make sure you're not counting your own visits. Plus if some of your users dont have javascript enabled then i'm not sure the traffic will count.

There is MUCH more to GA than simply counting traffic btw, its a complete analytics tool

google analytics is pretty darn good, but nothing is gonna track every bit of traffic because of server hiccups and such things

google analytics doesn't count some visits such as if a person come and go away before the page fully loaded and etc

Relevant accuracy: I prefer Google every day over cpanel. It will be behind but it won't track hits from active search crawls (guess which one??) and therefore be more accurate. Just be sure as mentioned to filter your own IP if you have low traffic and access your page frequently (e.g. when testing).
Timely accuracy: Cpanel is 'more realtime' than Google analytics - but really, who cares about the day you lose when using Google??

Google Analytics is more relevant with adserver data than other tools. I always consider it as accurate service.
