Has anyone heard of this: I recently took over a sizable Adwords account. The old PPC management firm gave me an Analytics account with some conversion tracking and custom reports in place. The most critical conversion they were tracking does not work. I need to fix it. But here is the problem: The Analytics account is missing vital components, almost like a "Guest" account on a forum. I can not access the "User Manger" or see the "Actions" on the main Website Profiles page. So I can not "edit" or "delete" site profiles either. Why is this happening? How do I fix this? I have posted in Google's forum and have emailed a Google Rep with no help. Has anyone seen this before? Was I handed off an account that was not the administrator email account? Google Adwords will not link to this Analytics account either. There was no way the previous PPC management firm would hand off the Adwords account to me so I recreated the account with a generated .AEA backup file. It's a stalemate and I'm stumped!
You weren't given admin rights. Simple as that. When you add an email address to an account it can be as ""View reports only" or "Account Administrator" - giving administrator access can only be done by someone who does have admin rights. You need to get whoever the site/business belongs to, to give you admin access/ and/or insist that whoever ran it for them before before, does
