Analytic Help Please?

I would like to track product sales on analytics but am extremely confused. I understand I have to create a goal in order to do this as well as setting eCommerce tracking to yes.

Is there no way to set the product price in the goal. The reason I ask is because the sales I will be tracking isn't my site so I will have to ask the owner to put the tracking on there site. I'm also an affiliate for this company so am paid slightly less than the actual sale price.

Yeah and the value in goals confuses me.

Okay, so first of all, you need to be a website owner, unless they give you their login which is un-wise to do.

Google Analytics is to measure the traffic on your website, not sales. You`ll have to register, then submit yours to track, meaning your website plus on site to get it activated. There is plugins for this if you are using for wordpress.

There is ecommerce that do all of which you are talking about, when you pick out your e-commerce theme that also comes with the pricing if that is what you are wondering.

I hope this helped, a bit.

Google Analytic only track traffic, visitor, geographical locations traffic. Yes in this there are certain kind of good features available like. If you have to set a goal like for this month you need to get traffic about 3000. Then there is an option in analytic to track and manage according to your desire.

They definitively do have eCommerce transaction tracking as well. Do any of you understand the value when setting a goal. Is there any way to set this value for the product price.

Also can you link adwords conversion tracking to google analytics. I have linked my adwords account to google analytics but I don't know if this includes conversion tracking from my adwords account.

I've also heard rumors that google conversion tracking misses about 20% to 25% of sales on conversions.
