Hi, I want to analyse my competitors products by downloading or extrapolating all of their online products and prices so I can work on them in a spreadsheet. Is there an easy way to do this without having to go through the many pages on my competitors website and manually typing the product details and prices in to a spreadsheet? Thanks Jimbob
I would not think so.. but doing this manually should not take this long.. except if you are selling a weight loss guide.. You could use SpyFu to get valuable info about how your competition is advertising on PPC, but for detail & price, I dont think so..
If you're just trying to get the product info, so you don't have to copy it over by hand, you could try going into the html page source and seeing what info is available there. By right-clicking on the page, and choosing 'view page source' you see their HTML code. Often, if it's a product page, there will be the product name, description, link and sometimes image fairly easily accessible. You might have to do some cleanup of the code before putting it in excel but it might be easier than doing it by hand. Not sure if that's helpful but good luck with the research!
