I have set up a website dedicated to the new release of AOL 20 million search queries by 500k aol users. I plan on developing a tool that will help people analize this list (aprox 500 MB) any suggestions of what information would be usefull to users? Let me know and i will try to integrate it into the system. The site currnetly has links to some mirriors where the file can be downloaded: http://aol-search-data.real-sol.com/ let me know if you think such a tool would be usefull?
It would be really useful to select a subset of the data and rank the cases by search frequency. Soemthing like SELECT if QUERY contains KEYWORD and rank by frequency.
yeah except overture limits it's results to 100 keywords, so the big advantage we have with the raw data is that we can dig much deeper.
Czesc Przemek! Some suggestions: 1. Find how many people actually searched for a keyword. 2. Find related keywords just like Overture does. 3. Find which keywords lead to a certain site.
czesc michal 1. will be defenetly in the first verison 2. will be defenetly in the first verison 3. abit more complicated but doable Certainly there will not have to be a limit to the search terms returned however that will bring many searches that have no more the 1 search done. Playing around with it at the moment so will see
The tool Beta is online now, and it is much faster then competition as it uses optimized search data. check it out: http://aol-search-data.real-sol.com/
Hey.. www.dontdelete.com does everything you need and starts off with the top 500 search terms. Any search term can be drilled into to see what sites were visited. If you search for a site.. it shows the keywords that site received visits from, then you can drill into those to see other sites.. pretty tight. It was just updated with a couple of other tools this morning and more will be on the way. It's been getting the best reviews of the sites out there from what I can see.. and it's the COMPLETE data. Can't stress this enough. We even repaired the one corrupt file.
