I have found an article written by blogger Joseph Alvini on an experiment that he has done with a site that Google is taking quite seriously but has not caught on to the SEO community. Rather than take his shine here is the article along with the experiment, tell me what you think
So basically he is trying to rank for "Top SEO Sites". As far as I can see there is little to no competition for this phrase. What's the point of this experiment and what is so special about that site?
The point of the site would be to put yourself as the #1 site so that you can get more clickthroughs. Sort of like any other social media network that we utilize. We use twitter to get clickthroughs. So why not use this site. Plus as far as I can see there are a couple of pretty high ranking sites that are listed for that keyword such as SEOMOZ and TopSEO's. Hey I just thought it would be a cool test that I stumbled across that I could share with you guys
