Hi all, I don't know much about keyword research. But trying to learning. Here is something i have done: for a search keyword 'a b c d' (4 words) one of my article ranked 3rd place on google search ranking. However, another combination of search from these words is 'a c b' and i am ranked on 3rd page of google for this. Average search for 'a c b' is >1000 a month and average search for 'a b c d' is around <100 in a month. Naturally, my intention is to rank to the top mont for 'a c b'. How can I achieve this please? well you should focus more on the three word phrase, build exact anchor text backlinks. Doing a 4 word phrase will influence your rankings, but you need to have well optimized landing pages for those keywords and to build exact keyword backlinks, that will help you a lot...
hi it wasn't any mathematics, a,b,c are single words and i have metioned their 2 combinations that represents two popular keywords term. I want to know why one is getting well and another not and how to improve ranking for another combination.
Give emphasis to the focus keywords you really want to see. Also give focus on your prefer combination so search engine would surely recognize it as is.

There are many variables to consider; Origin of sources Keywords searched for Competition Value of competition and a few others... I'd take a look at these free videos to get a handle on it. The product is for Market Samurai, but of course you don't need to purchase their software. Just check out the videos for what I believe is a very easy to understand concept on what your asking by the way they explain it all.
