Been digging through freelance platform data for a side project and keep running into the same pattern: the "obvious" gig types (generic WordPress fixes, basic logo work) get posted constantly but pay surprisingly little, while some unglamorous, specific stuff (compliance paperwork, niche technical documentation, backend integrations) shows up less often but pays 2-5x more per gig. Nothing shocking once you think about it — less competition for the boring stuff — but seeing it laid out with actual mention counts and budget medians made it a lot more concrete than I expected. Curious if others here have noticed similar gaps between "popular" and "well-paid" gig categories.
