    My html editor inserts it automatically, but I thought it wasn't a needed thing so I deleted it on alot of pages. I'm going to put it back in and see if it makes any difference.

    I just tried validating a page, and got BUNCHES of errors. Do most people here adhere to these guidelines?

    I'm self taught, and this is the first I've really come accross this.
