hey guys To be honest with you guys iam utterly astound with your concept of ads sharing & i feel its a glorious & a splendid idea as it would provide crucial help to the people not able to generate revenues from there sites as this forum is at number 1 on google search in adsense forums. But out of curiosity certain queries arose in my brain infact a lot of queries lol to be honest. questions - 1-What would your forum gain from this? 2-Is it safe to submit my code here? 3-Google dosent provide under its TOC that this is not allowed but it dosent say that it is either? 4-What if same people click on my ads again & again & google bans me for invalid clicks? As this site is getting the same visitors along with new ones on a daily recurring basis? 5-Has there been a case yet where by advertising here any of the members of this site got banned or anything similar to that? 6-Has any member of this site reached google help desk & enquired wheather this is allowed or not as it dosent mention this is allowed either on adsense TOC so iam bit confounded? Besides that i reckon this offer if too good to miss & tempting. Hope you guys answer me iam a new be to this site thanks to all.... calm down. take a closer look at this page, some of ur answers are here - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=revenue_sharing
As a general rule, the people that I have seen that have complained about having been banned from AdSense on other sites like this one, have been banned because they clicked on their own ads. The chance of one person clicking your ad enough times to have you banned from AdSense I would say is far less likely here, with as many visiors as the site has and as wide a range of areas as your ad could appear in, than it would be on your own website where you may have a very limited audience and multiple ads listed. What the forum here gains is people participating and their own share of the ad revenue from their own ads just like ours. It is a win-win situation when not abused. Abuse leads to Google getting upset and places like this, and others like it, being shut out of the AdSense program. As it is said in the FAQ's (think that was where I read it) the only part of your AdSense they need is the Pub number, something that can be found in any ad on your site if you have AdSense on a website, so unless I am missing loophole others know about, I would say that yes - it is safe. I know another site with a similar setup has had dealings with Google and what I had seen appeared to be worked out peacably between the site admin and Google - so my guess is as long as we are all good little AdSensers and do not abuse Google or their advertisers, they have no problem with us getting together in groups to help one another share in traffic to a site. Woah, slow down, I am a slow typer. When I started my reply there wasn't even your no replies inqury. And note - all caps are considered shouting when typing. ::covers ears::
oh thats good to see lots of reps yayyyyyyyyy my first reps,ok uve clarified my doubts,u wanna share traffic how about we share a group hug now to all the members of this site and everyone else i cant see a hug smiley otherwise i would have used it thanks a lott cheers...... & yeh i expect hugs back this time even the guys can do that lol
yeh me again sorry iam a bit high strung & someone said iam too quick well 21st century time is money go fast go with the times,ok i got your concept i read the faq properly so ull put our codes on the ads thats a brilliant idea but one thing is it first come first serve or is it that ull post everyones code somewhere somehow??????sorry but my brain is always full of queries.Would appreciate if you could answer this one as well.. FRYMAN U CHEEKY BUGGER I DNT LIKE TRANQUILIZERS
I think he was asking how it is determined that his ad will be shown... I'm guessing he is too high strung and fast moving to actually read the entire thread which discusses how it works. Is this a good place to say RTFM?
hmm so guys consider if someones asking too many questions he's stupid well to tell u guys ive never been in a forum before & when your a beginner everythings difficult isnt it.Anything & everything done in this world is hard when tried for the first time so well iam no exception to that quote i guess. We all learn at some time of our lives dont we.No ones perfect & the learning process never ends.Anyways i appreciate your replies & your time.
With all the talk of dangers and getting banned, you forgot one crucial thing....You aren't shown your own ads here so there is no danger of clicking on your own. The rest I don't understand either....sorry
There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. And when a question is asked in a confusing manner, or if the answer is one that is findable in a FAQ or TOS section on a website, then you have to expect that the stupid answers are going to run like lemmings toward a cliff. But look at it this way, the same folks that are sitting here (or whereever they are) and tossing off smart ass commentary are most likely the same folks that are going to be the most fun to chatter with later on when you do have the answers all sorted out and are an old pro at how message boards work. So don't get discouraged with us just because we're smartasses. Snicker at the smart asses, and remember who they are, so that one day, when you have a few thousand posts under your belt and have been here a year or two, you can catch them on a question you consider to be easily answered and then you can turn the tables on them and tease and torment them. As for where the ad stuff goes - patience, you will see the place in your user profile in time. In the mean time, kick back and spend a little while combing through the FAQ/Rules section (third menu item from the left above). You'll find that most of your questions have an answer in there, and if you need anything more clearly defined, then the longer you take to explain why it is not clear the more likely you will be to catch the eye of someone that knows the answer and can help you out. Heck, just look at all the smartalecks here already, a few of which have posted twice, we're watching for how we can help, but you need to slow down and make sure we understand the what and why of the help before we'll be able to do anything. Otherwise you're going to have someone reading your thread, getting lost about what is wanted, and leaving smartass replies just because they're here and bored. (I'm too asleep still to be a smart ass, I'll catch the next round )
