I'm the guitarist/singer in a 3 piece band that's been around for a year or 2 now and haven't really had any problems so far. We make kind of Alternative/Punk kind of music, and the band members have always been fine with that. My band members have been good friends with me since childhood. The problem is that the Drummer and the Bassist both are metal heads and want to change the direction the band is going in towards kind of heavy fast metal music. Btw the bassist just pretty much got into metal right when I got kind of out of it. One of my friends over heard my bandmates saying that they wish I would give up the music I like to play and go with what they want to do. Now, don't get me wrong, I really enjoy listening to metal music, I'm into Lamb of God and Megadeth and stuff like that. I just would rather play music a bit like Nirvana and Queens of the Stone Age. I can't quit the band because they're my best friends and their are really no other good musicians in Southwest Virginia. And I won't give up playing music I love with my best friends, so what do I do???
