Whats going on fellow dp forum menbers..i have a question that I hope someone can answer for me... I've been writing a few ezine articles lately. I noticed that one in particular had way more hits overnight than usual (144 in one day). The rest of the ezines I've written only have 40-60 hits, and some are a week old. After doing some digging, I decided to copy and paste a paragraph into Google's search box and I came across a website that had my article on the site with a link to my article. Is this proper linking etiquette? Should I be upset that the owner did not get permission from me? I do think the link has give me a boost in hits so I'm confused as to what I should do? The site is some-what relevant to my article, (my article is geared toward the "teen discipline" niche, but the website that used my article is geared toward the "advice for new parents" niche) but it isn't a site that I would have asked for a linkback to. Good Luck and Make Money!
I am pretty sure that all articles posted to ezine become the property of ezine. As such the article is no longer yours and since ezine probably wants as much traffic as they can get they will definitely allow it. Also why are you complaining you are getting what you what also? The internet is a place of vast knowledge and everyone should share it if possible.
Ummm, wow. This is a serious statement about how far article marketing has come from it's roots. Dude that's THE REASON that ezine articles was invented. The goal is not supposed to be traffic/backlinks to the ezine articles site, but to get your article republished to a relevant niche site that will send you niche traffic. This is an example of the system working perfectly, and in your favor. It's hilarious to me that it would worry you, but no fear you actually just got lucky. Considering the trash that gets bulk-posted to e-zine you must have written a nice, original article so pat yourself on the back and do it again.
Congratulations - You've written some good quality content that someone in a related niche has picked it up and you've got a free backlink. The traffic that came through seems pretty good too!
Nice work you have more people going to your article now and your website. Unless they copied the content word for word then you should be happy!
You have nothing to worry about - in fact this is one of the great reasons for using article directories - You will benefit from a good high page rank backlinks from the article site itself and also benefit from others who syndicate your article and post it on their sites.
People do all the hard work to get the traffic and your effort on ezine has bore fruits... in the way of people coming to read your content! You should definitely feel happy and now... learn to monetize this traffic to become even more happier! Regards, RightMan
