Perhaps a sub-forum for each kind of forum system within the administration/forums subforum. A vBulletin forum, phpBB forum, MyBB forum, etc etc. This would help with my help to anyone who uses phpBB - since I love phpBB... in a sick way true... you can see the fanatical zeal in my eyes, just as you can see the fanatical zeal in my eyes about World Domination. But it would also give a place for folks who use vBulletin to post their vBulletin specific problems, errors, etc, and the same goes for MyBB and what have you. I imagine it would be a fairly simple thing to monitor - since anyone who posts in the wrong forum will be politely informed they are in said forum and they should have posted in the other forum. I view it as being more efficent, able to supply faster help when topic titles are non-descriptive, and also will be a lovely change rather than the semi-cluttered forums already in that area. Hence, it would look like this I gather |-Design & Development |-blah |-blah |-blah |-blah |-blah |-blah |-Forum Specific |---vBulletin |---phpBB |---MyBB |---What have you |---That other one I cant remember |---Other OR |-Design & Development |-blah |-blah |-blah |-blah |-Site & Server Administration |---blah |---blah |---blah |---blah |---Forum Management |-----vBulletin |-----phpBB |-----MyBB |-----What have you |-----That other one I cant remember |-----Other |--blah |-blah Now for my condensed numbered list of reasons. 1. It would provide specific forums for specific forum problems, design issues, help, and otherwise all about them without it being cluttered into the other areas 2. It would speed up help to those who need it since people will assume they are posting help for (forum type) since it is (forum type forum) and thus effective responses are increased and no questions of "what do you run?" will be asked. 3. It would be handy to have this around for anyone who likes to answer help questions - more likely they would answer since there wouldnt be a guessing game with vague titles. 4. It would be easier on the mods to know where to move certain questions to that may cover more than just PHP or Databases or .CSS or what have you - since more than one thing may be wrong and the question might cover a problem that affects two things. So what do you think?
