An idea on phpLD directory

    Hello All,
I was wondering on how to apply my directory to my web site. I have purchased the $25 V3.06 phpLD directory script.

I have my web site www.atradersuniverse.com as such.

I would like to set up my directory http://www.atradersuniverse.com/phpLD/ to look exactly like my site, as you can see I'm way off at the moment because I lack php programming expertise.

I have thought that either, I'm going to have to change the rest of the directory via side bar, footer and header (although I've managed that one) manually, or I have thought that maybe I can extract the part of the script that only contains the main panel of the directory - another words, getting rid of the header, footer and sidebar, and then applying that script to a new page in my XSite Pro.

I don't know if the latter is possible or not, and if it is, if it's going to be more time consuming or not.

Could any one point me in the right direction.

    Cheers
    Dean

You should change the template files of phpLD, the header footer, etc and attach a CSS file in the header with your site styles. Adding the script to your site pages is not a good idea. We've successfully changed the look and feel of phpLD directories this was. Look at these examples:

    Travel Web Directory 1
    Travel Web Directory 2

Yes rosiee007, that's bang on what I want to do. Of course now I have to learn how to do it. I'll take your advice and change the template files.

    Cheers
