I had the following idea I posted in another topic, but thought instead of bringing that off topic I'd start a new one. There is a neat concept that this just made me think of -- how about PPC content-targeted signature ads? That would be a really awesome setup, and I don't think it would be too hard for me to write a site that would do it. I guess what'd have to do, would just use tags and [url] tags, since most forums don't allow javascript. It would then get the HTTP_referrer and spider that page (the forum topic) finding which words are mentioned most, excluding words such as the, a, etc etc. Then save the top 5 keywords along with the URL for that site in a MySQL db, and have the ads rotate once every hour, so the [img] and [url] would be synced. It would be lots of fun coding though, and then even if you got it done, finding advertisers is a whole different story ----- Do you think that would work, and if so, would there be a demand for it and would it be a profitable situation to try to cary out? For advertisers, I could always use RSS feeds from programs such as searchfeed and 7search I suppose. Josh
