    Hi guys,

In shared server ppl often get trouble as I used to get before moving my hosting in VPS by digg effect, I want to write an application to avoid this problem for me and for others ppl.

I have an idea that goes this way:-
If more than 100 visitors visit a single page in website from digg within 10 minutes, Block people with digg.com as referrer and forward them to diggmirror.com or similar system or just block visitors from digg for certain time till but don't need to block search engine like google.com that is refered by digg.com

though I will also try to make this in between I want other people to try this too, its a bit challenging, but very useful. I am adding a poll also with this to ask is this useful to other ppl also or not.

Why on earth would I want to block people from visiting my site :S

If you are going ahead with it, redirect them to me instead of back to digmirror.

    Peace,

have you ever got thousands of visitor in matter of minutes? then you will know how your resources suffer. When multiple stories get popular in digg from a blog at a time which is hosted in shared hosting, that can get whole server crashed or hanged, making all websites hosted there go down. Some hosts even kick you out of hosting service.
