This is just an idea... Rather than just disabling accounts of users who have no idea that they have an high level of invalid clicks... would it be better if google just subtract the invalid clicks from the valid clicks and pay out the difference? This would work better wouldn't it? I mean if there are people are have a high level of invalid clicks on their account they would never get paid, or their payout would be really low. Plus this would give legimate sites the chance to see that they have invalid clicks... review their logs... figure out where the invalid clicks are originating by analyzing their traffic data and then blocking that traffic. To me this seems like the most logical and easiest way for google to help manage the invalid clicks, for us site owners to block the idiots who are causing the invalid clicks, and for the advertisers to save the money lost in invalid clicks. Anyone else think this is a good idea, or do you think it wouldn't work? ~Shannon
I think that is a great idea. Google suspended my account because of invalid clicks, which turned out was caused by my web designer testing everything out after he added new features, etc.. to my site.
Why your web designer was clicking on your google ads is beyond me... But yeah... if those invalid clicks were subtracted from the valid clicks, then no harm would have been done. Google would still have the trust of it's advertisers and the advertisers wouldn't have paid money to you for nothing. It's a win-win situation for everyone. It can't be that hard to setup. They can analyze and track everything else, this should be pretty easy for their engineers and programmers. ~Shannon
