An extra Inbound link does no harm

Here is an advice I want to give to all of you guys..I have seen people here on this forum always whine so much about the pagerank, alexa rank, etc of websites even if they are about to get a free inbound link.

Let me tell you guys, this is not how it should be. Ever heard of the saying, 'No publicity is bad publicity'. Inbound links are also a way of publicity. So, as long as you are getting one, don't be bothered. Don't whine about the site linking to you being PR 0, etc.

Every site has the potential to grow big, you'll see results then..

What do you think? Do you agree with me?

I totally agree except for the fact of putting a link on a nofollow site. Sure, you'll get direct traffic - but I don't do it because time is precious to me. If I had all the time in the world, sure, I would leave links on NoFollow sites - but since I don't - I have to do a little time management.

I don't pay any attention to PR (it's way over rated)... a link is a Link!

As far as "NoFollow" is concerned... keep in mind that Google is looking for natural link structure, and it is totally natural to have some "NoFollow" links.

I deliberately add few NoFollow links to my websites so that Google believes that my backlinks are coming naturally

It's a question of what "free" means. If you go out searching for links, that takes time. Your time is better spent seeking out valuable links. Some links that do not appear to be very valuable may have value in the future. A site with a pagerank of 0 may have a much higher pagerank months from now. If your link is there, you win. Or the site may die and your link is worthless. There is also value in nofollow links (and probably links from low pagerank sites) as part of an overall strategy, like vstar said.
