    Hi all,
    Please read all before clicking the link .
    Everyday they are like 20 or more new cookie cutter directories on DP , so I decided to make a like experiment to try to build a different one.
    This directory is primarily target for search engine optimization, but can also and should be used by humans.
    These are the rules for the directory:
    - The directory is a niche directory for SEO related links (sorry no SEO people, if this one goes ok I will make a general one for you);
    - The directory as only one level;
    - There will be no more than 5 links on each article;
    - The links will be completely embedded on the article;
    - The submission is free.

    I am waiting for your feedback, so I can improve this directory, you can post here.
    If you feel that new categories should be added please post.
    So please take a look at:
    ASK Directory

    And post here the anchor text and url you wish, off course you can submit several.
    By the way if you like the idea you can give me some green :)

    Thanks to All

    I think the descriptions are what the search engines use to deside if the link is related to the site. I'm not sure that only having link text on the page would be the best from a SEO point of view.

    Without descriptions maybe you need to add some text to tell the engines what the page is about. Just my input :)

    I am thinking of adding a small text from 500 to 1,000 words on the top of the Page.
    Tank you very much for your careful and clever input.

    Descriptions are an important part of a directory because it offers surrounding text which is an important part of link building and SEO.

    So I think removing them is just hurting the site unless you plan to add your own articles or content for each page.

    *edit* Blah I typed mine first adacprogramming. Im not removing it! :)

    Any recommendation for general describing articles to use on each category..

    Another idea I have is to put the links on the middle of the text but you probably can squeeze 5 not many more for each article

    Well a "perfect" link would be a link with appropriate anchor text embedded in a unique article dealing with the subject with as few other outgoing links on the page as possible.

    So I dont really have a suggestion. :)

    Description - a must.

    I also agree that description and anchortext should be better in contexts. But creating such a directory is rather hard. People like short description better as well as an easier way. 20 links on each sub-category also can be difficult especially for the ones that are more popular. I actually like the idea of top level only as mine is like it.
