Just trying out something that has already been done before, but a bit different. I have built a flash chat room and created a html code with a button link to the chat room. The code can be pasted as a html code onto any website thus offering a chat room on that site that opens up in a fresh window. The chat room is then linked to every website that has the button. In the chat room, anyone can create private password protected rooms. The standard chat room has no registration, so a user can just type in any name and start chatting. Would anyone be interested in this code or this idea? Obviously, I will be using affiliate ads in the chat room, but no popups, so I can offer the service for free. Your thoughts please....
As you say, been done many times before with flash or a full irc server back end. IRC, surprisingly, does still seem very much out of favour at the moment despite the increases in the "social" aspects of the internet excluding the likes of SecondLife.
