Done! Since a long time. After having watched lots of believers, I've concluded that these people need something to rely on because they have a hard time to get over stuff they can't control.

    Example: Job lost.
Believers: " Oh my God, what can I do? I'm lost. Give me a sign, tell me what to do, etc..."
Non Believers: " Fired? Oh well. I'll get another job by tomorrow...Easy as 1-2-3...No help needed, I'm a big boy..."

Having written that, don't make me wrong, I have nothing whatsoever for or against believers...
The only thing though is I see more believers to do war to other believers. Other than that, I'm good...

While I do agree that your description covers many 'believers' it does not cover them all by a long shot. Just as any other group their is a vast range of differences between the people in that "category".

I do have to agree with your last statement. I mean its all the stuff like, "If you dont go to my brand of church you're going to go to hell" etc etc

Personally, I think that all denominations and sects are inherently WRONG. That is, in fact, how the Bible teaches it.

I agree. And beside, I'm always amazed by people who are in jail because they are murderers and are followers of Jesus Christ (or Allah, or...)

My wife and I were discussing the same thing a couple nights ago. It seems that these guys often find "religion" once they get caught at a crime and are about to be tried. I think that sometimes they may be sincerely sorry but for the most part they are hoping it will help them with the jury.

Of course there are many more murderers in jail who are not followers of Christ. Actually, anyone can say "I am a follower of Christ" or "I am a Christian" or "I am a penguin" but saying it doesnt make it so. Unfortunately, at least in my opinion, the majority of people who claim to be christians are far from it.

That may give me some credit on some people relying on religion again once facing something they can't control, as stated in previous posts. But again, yes, there's people for everything...

Yes if you add "some people" to the statement it would be completely accurate.

..some people facing something they can't control..

I believe in God and personally know many others who do as well. I, nor most of those I know would fit under the "facing something they can't control" description.

Nearly anytime a statement is made that includes everyone in any group it is wrong.

All Americans.. All women...... All men.... All whites.... All blacks.... All baptists....
