An Error has occurred! Unable to open configuration.php file to write!

    i went to Global Configuration then in server tab and i have given the following info

    Mailer -- SendMail
    Mail from--
    Send Mail Path: /usr/sbin/sendMail
    SMTP Authentication: No
    SMTP Host: localhost

    so i am getting the following error as well

    An Error has occurred! Unable to open configuration.php file to write!

    What i have to do:(

    try to change "configuration.php" files permission...

    change the permissions of the config.php via cpanel and try again

    To not have these problems you must activate ftp layer from Global Configuration.

    Go to FTP and change the configuration.php file(you will find at root folder) permission and make it 777 and then you will edit that file. Hope it helps...

    And once you have done editing configuration.php change the permissions back to at least 644 or your site will be hacked, including your database

    i have the same problem, and has just fix it by change the configuration.php chmod with 777
