Any of you who tried it have a good typing rate (close to 100 words per minute) and still found it useful?

The output quality is reliant on so many factors its not going to be worth the time, effort and investment for most.

Q: If you are using a badly written article as a base starting point how is the new output going to be any better........

Plus there is the lack of features, long learning curve, frustrating voice training and tuning, need to be able to think on your feet quick and read new info into the articles from other sources

what about people with accents or word pronounication problems or speech impairments?

You would spend so much time fixing and finalising the articles in a normal word processor / editor after doing them in DNS. May as well write the articles from stratch then rewite and do all the other stuff........

Its not suitable for everyone and there are cheaper and easier alternatives for getting unique readable content

Does it do well for non-native english speakers, too? Africa, Asia,...

There have been a few questions asking about accents and such... I have a North Eastern USA accent and it did take a bit of time for the software to learn my voice.. maybe about 2 hours.

My typing speed is in the 45- 50 words per minute and I speak much faster than that. There is some editing to be done when the article is completed but not really much more than any written article as grammar is fixed by word as are misspellings.

I read over anything I write after the fact, as most of you do, in order to see what is not clear or correct anyway.

I'm a pretty good writer in general but I am a much better speaker as my whole life has been in the sales field so this is a good fit for me.

Clearly from some of the remarks, it is not a good fit for everyone but isn't that the same with everything?

This is an awesome tip. I have been doing this ever since Windows Vista came out with Speech Recognition - it's awesome!

I might try something like it for free, but I think writing is a great way to formalize ideas and get them out that way. I guess over time that could be a great way to do it. Also it is important to be talking about things you actually know what you are talking about :)

It can still be useful, but you may find the editing part quite annoying.

You really have to keep an eye on what the program is typing. Sometimes if you're creating a long document, and you don't have time to edit it right away - you may come back to it and wonder why it wrote some of those strange sentences. You have to try and figure out what you actually meant at the time.

It can be amusing at times.

The good thing though is the fact that you can really rush through a project with Dragon.
