An easy way to move a forum to a subdomain?

    I currently have a forum at www.url.com/forum
    Is there any easy way to move it to forum.url.com?:confused:

    all i did when i moved mine was set up the sub domain in cpanel then in the setings for the forum set the start page etc as forum.domain etc.

    Yeah I guess that makes sense. All links will still be fine right? If I link points to www.url.com/forum or forum.url.com its the same thing?

    dependant on how your host is setup.


    but search engines see it differently.......just leave it as is really. i was thinking of doing so, but it's not worth it if you're established.

    I was going to need a lot of encouragement to switch it over... So now I guess I'll just forget about it. If its not going to make a difference I guess I'll just leave it alone.

    it doesn't...it just looks different :p it could even harm you - duplicate content repercussions if you do it improperly
