Hello, I used to think that i was done with SEO after getting a considerable relevency at http://rock-on.mobi then i later focused on working upon social networking for my advantage, i got a twitter account and with the help of twitter API I started adding most happening things on my site into twitter along with a link to my site. My twitter page is at http://twitter.com/RockOnMobi. Adding my site updates into twitter helped me get noticed by a lot of wanted and unwanted bots, everything was hunky dory until one mixx.com sniffed my site. The site ended up taking in all my site description and taking advantage of the page rank it enjoys it got listed on the top of my targetted niche. I didnt like that part. The site does have a link back to my site but its 'nofollow'. Its using my description by just adding a term mixx ahead of mine preset description, this makes me quite angry. I don't have any links going to that site but mixx having links going to mine yet google prefers to rank the mixx page on the top and ignores my page completely. If it would have been a completely different site then things would have been somewhat different, but taking my own content and making my site look the non-genuine one just gets me way too angry. On top of it the miscreant mixx has added its own content in the page it created. Isnt it completely unethical? Google should be punishing mixx , knocking of its ranking not mine . The copied page is http://www.mixx.com/stories/7109684...rld_mobile_chat_and_cellphone_services_portal There are way too many links pointing to my site and no link of mine pointing to mixx yet google thinks mixx is the genuine one . What course of action should i now take to make sure I get into SERP and not mixx ?
oh dude don't mind with this.. That is actually very good because If u think ur page can't rank in google so this mixx is going to help u for sure.. And this will actually help u in getting traffic.. And the process of digg is same as mixx.. My most of the content shows up as digg instead of my site..but m even happy with that because this will help me in getting traffic from digg...
Thanks mgn465. I think I posted my thread in wrong forum, if there is any gentle moderator then plz move this to http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=92 without banning me or deleting it am sorry, I apologize.
This is not strange but usual. It often happens when I submit a story to digg. Digg page tops in ranking above my page but after some days it comes down and even helps my page to top
I agree with the other replies posted here, just give it a few days and the mixx page should lose it's rank. I've noticed the same thing with digg in the past, but the problem just solves itself in a few days.
