An alternative to regular forums?

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to set up a basketball-related forum, but instead of going down the usual route of phpBB, IPB etc, I'm looking for something a bit different. Something that is a little quicker to post on and read...maybe something like the "Yahoo! Answers" setup; a very simple, basic forum.

Does anyone know of anything like this that exists right now? Or would I have to go to a developer.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply - that's the sort of thing I'm looking for, but I'd like it to look a bit better.

Another good forum that I have worked with in the past is Vanilla

    vanillaforums.org/

I have not looked at it in a while, but I was very happy with it when I used it.

    Mr 81,

Use vBulletin. Sure, the ideal vbulletin may come to mind - however this software is fully customizable. Look into vB CMPS. I even made a youtube video entry site off of a vbulletin once!

You can use questionanswerscript, its a yahoo answer sort of script.
Developer services is needed coz you need to customize some function of your site to make it unique and stand up from other site.
