Is AlertPay easy to use as a seller? I mean, is it easy to set up a sales page and a payment process with AlertPay?
I have alertpay verify account but alertpay still limited country to withdrawl your money to bank account.
As a seller I wouldn't use them - according to their TOS they don't fight chargebacks and they charge the merchant $30 per chargeback.
I use Alertpay as a Seller, had no problems with it till current time... they pay correctly to my bank account, they reply within 2 days on my support tickets... definitely worth a try if you cannot use paypal for some reason.
Very important issue indeed (+ Rep added ) even if I was focusing on something else (is it easy to set up a sales page and a payment process with AlertPay?) What is the way Paypal deals with chargebacks? Difficult to do? Free of charge?
AlertPay has smaller fees than paypal, which is why they're nice... But I've had trouble figuring out how to set up a sales page with alertpay. I mean, it's pretty much the same as Paypal and stuff, it's just not laid out quite as clearly. And hey, they have an affiliate program. xD
Yes, Alertpay payment automation is very easy to setup. It's basicly the same process as setting up a script to process Paypal payments. Although Alertpay isn't as widely used as Paypal, it has come a long way from when it started and because its based in Canada, it isn't subject to US government harassment (like E-Gold or EMO). Depending on where you're doing business, Webmoney is sweeping Europe and it's one of my personal favorite payment processors. More info here : (Webmoney Review). The only problem is I don't think you can use a credit card to make purchases through Webmoney which makes it difficult to reach US consumers. AsianPay (asianpay.com) is very, very, very popular in Asia but it is gaining popularity worldwide because of he ability to make purchases using a credit card and AsianPay is known for their security and they do their best to prevent fraud (unlike e-gold who gained a reputation as a prime payment processor of online ponzi schemes) Paypal is still the dominant processor but even CNN has jumped on the anti-Paypal bandwagon with this article that lists the top 5 alternatives to Paypal (Digital River, 2Checkout, AlertPay, TrialPay, E-junkie), although I've never personally used any of those except Alertpay.
I was aiming to process credit cards from Europe with AlertPay Thanks for your answer Bryce anyway At least I do have an answer, yes AlertPay is easy to use as a seller! And yes, I will never use e-gold because all the MLM/ponzi scams who used it
I almost forgot, two more options are MoneyBookers and Verotel. You can accept credit cards as a merchant through both. The reason Paypal sucks as a digital goods merchant (ie: selling software, hosting, domains) is that Paypal will not support you if a customer makes false chargebacks to try and scam a merchant. Alertpay is a much smaller company but their support staff is very, very good. I've never waited more than a few hours when I submitted a ticket to AP. Paypal, you could wait weeks before anybody gets back to you.
