Hi all, I'm the webmaster of mrlink.it, an italian directory of one year old, well ranked in google, based on eSyndicat, Pr4. This directory is now free, but I'd like to insert a "featured link" option in suggesting link. I think that I can match featured links with another colours and put them on the top of the categories. But are there other advantages? And how much can visitor spend for having their link featured? Thanks very much and fogive me for my bad english.
Allow sites to be listed as featured in top level categories that will be consider to worth spend money for.
Here's a link price calculator that will give you an idea of what webmasters might pay to be listed in your directory. You can also poke around the site and see what other directories are charging for similar PR and Alexa ratings. Use the search to get directories with your same PR, Alexa, Niche, etc. and do some comparisons.
You have an interesting site, but I would take the valuations given with a very big pinch of salt. If you're using Alexa as a basis for valuation, the figures quoted are bound to be a little off. It would be interesting if you could develop the tool to calculate a value based on unique visitors, but even then, valuations will vary depending on the niche (if it's a niche site).
