An adsense alternative?

Can anyone suggest anything better than adsense?

Adsense is doing "ok" on some of my sites, but on a particular site, I just find it worthless, it has consistently been getting "less than 2 cents" a click, today so far, 36 clicks, made me $0.62 cents, so I was wondering if anyone else here tried something else more effective?

The only real alternative is Yahoo Publisher Network, you'll get less clicks but you will get a ton more per click (at least on most niches). It is hard getting accepted on YPN so you might have to get invited by a member. You also have to live in the United States. MSN is also rolling out their contextual ad network, but it is still not certain how to join or how much they are paying.

Try adding a program like valueclick(CPM) to supplement your Adsense income if YPN is not an option. That is however, if you get a lot of visitors/pageviews otherwise CPM won't be much use to you.

I tried YPN for a while, but didn't stick with it. The per click value was definately higher but the number of clicks were not even remotely close to Adsense. I'll probably try it again though, been a couple months so hopefully they've got more advertisers now. If you can get in, I'd definately recommend it as an alternative, takes a bit more patience though.. lol

Yeah I been wanting to try YPN but im from Australia so it probably won't happen anytime soon...

the weird thing is, I applied for yahoo, on the application I said im from australia, and I got approved!! I cant do anything else though because i don't have a US bank account or address.

I dont care if I get less clicks, because im sure it will make me more than what im making now with adsense! it really sucks, 2cents!!!

anyway, valueclick probably wont do me any good, im only getting around 800 visits per day (around 1200 impressions) - i'll just have to try and see

There are lots of PPC's in the market but none of them match the paying power and stability of the two giants, Yahoo and Adsense...And once u start off with the biggies, to go to the smaller ones can get depressing:D. although I see no real reason to do that unless u r living out of the states and banned by adsense.
Yahoo's targeting is a bit bad, Adsense rules if you have patience
