An ad opening in new window w/o AdSense URL, is it possible?

Hi Friends!

Today evening one of my friend spoked about a never seen AdSense behavior. We both are AdSense publishers and we always discuss about.

He was browsing a site and clicked an image Leaderboard ad placed on top of the page which was of Flock Browser. He clicked but page was still there so clicked again, and realized that the target was opening in a new tab in FF.

Then he did some research and told that the page was directly opening with Flock's address not as usual pagead2.googlesyndication...

At first I did not believed, but he convinced me that he opened that site again and that was an AdSense ad only but was not an image rather Flash.

So, I want to ask is it normal or there is a chance of cheating with flash or what? I just can't predict about the possibilities.

must not be adsense ad. adsense ads don;t open in new window.

 

I too thought like that.. but it's reality.

 

Could be a premium publisher? Who knows.

 

Is there anything like Premium Publisher exists? I'm sorry, have no more idea about AdWords.

 

There are lots of premium publishers, like ezinearticles.com etc etc

with soe trick of flash, it may be possible. but i have never seen it myself though. And if google discovered it, not sure what will happen but probably a ban.

 

Yah.. if it is really happening.. Google will not let it go for a long. But how it is possible with flash tricks or something.. any idea?
