Wouldn't it be nice if some clever folks created a way to have ads, like Google Adsense, that would be viewed as actual direct links? Basically, you'd be paying for links on a range of related sites without having to contact each webmaster or their advertising department to have a text or banner add (not only for link building reasons, but for actual advertising).

It wont work, you would have webmasters linking out to banned sites and if the ad or link changed each page load like adwords a proper hyperlink wouldnt serve much purpose. If i was going to link out to a site i would want to make the decision and not have sites auto placed on my pages by some script. But thats just me.
