Amway in the UK

    Hi there

Just wondering if anyone on this board is from the UK and has been in Amway, past present or future. After finishing my degree, I joined for a while, but then legal action was taken by the Department of Trade and Industry, closing down the BSM organisation I was in - IBS, run by Jerry Scriven and co.

I know Amway have down away with their Quixtar and Amivo subsidiaries and are now flying the flag under the Amway name only.

Marketed as the closet thing to Ameircan Dream and sold in slightly smaller packaging for the smaller European markets, they've created i nthe words of one of the Diamonds "literally hundreds of millionaires".

I'm personally glad I'm out as there's no way I could afford to buy 200PV of products every month, and the BSM were a slight strain although useful in the context of my own endevours. Plus, the atmosphere was always slightly phony to me.

Anyone still plugging away at the business, and if so, how's it going?

There's a thread about IBS, the former UK Amway motivation team

It's very difficult to succeed in Amway unless you have thick skin and able to stand the rejestions if people do not buy the over-priced products. Or unless you have a lot of good and rich contacts who can afford the products.
