could anyone tell me which works the best for seo submission here
article directory vs bookmark directory vs forum comment vs search engine submission vs social network such as facebook, orkut, and twitter.

OK, let us take this one by one:
Article submission --> best with fast approving article submission sites.
Bookmarking --> implement to gain traffics. Much better if you'll submit in do follow SB sites (the PR of the SB sites will just suffer; for most do follow SB sites has PR 3 or 4 only in common.)
Forums --> good way to gain backlinks especially if its a related one.
Social networking --> like SB, it's main purpose is to gain traffics.

 

no one can stand alone, you need to use some of those not just one to get some results.

 

Basically all these search engine optimization techniques are closely interlinked with each other. So can't measure the best advantages of any activity alone.

 

Try to do all for better ranking..

 

It would be much better to use all of those steps for SEO needs plenty of work in order to meet the desired result
