    Hi,

So for the past month I've been trying out "intext ad's" from Amobee (formerly Kontera)

    http://www.amobee.com/

For those that don't know Amobee is mainly a mobile based ad platform but in recent weeks they have acquired "in-text" ad network Kontera and video ad network Adconian. This will make Amobee one of the biggest ad networks working on multiple ad platforms.

I had a Kontera account from a couple of year ago which I'd never really used, so when I heard about thee Amobee/Kontera/Adconian merger I thought I'd try the "in-text" ad's again.

Just wondering whether anybody has any experience of Amobee/Kontera/Adconian and if so how things are working out?

The performance in terms of the ad's appearing is somewhat patchy. That's good and bad.

The thing with "key word" ad's is that very often less is more. If they turn up too often on a page you'll seriously annoy your visitors/readers. However, you do want a few words to highlight (I think 3-5 on a page is plenty) but sometimes I find you can go several day's without seeing any words highlighted.

Now, the good point is that the actual ad units from Kontera are beautiful, IMO. They look much better than infolinks and IMO they are of a higher quality than even Vibrant (Vibrant are VERY hard to get into and won't even bother replying to you unless your getting hundreds of thousands of page views a day, LOL, though I find the quality of their ad's isn't "all that" to be honest and I would suspect the HUGE websites they want to work with would be put off by the ad quality of their offering, but I digress)

I'm also finding that the more time that goes by the more the ad's are appearing, so I think you may have to leave it 5-6 weeks before you start seeing the ad's regularly showing up.

So a mixed experience so far with Knotera/Amobee. There's no way I could use them as my only revenue source at this point, but will persevere and see what happens as I do like the quality of the ad's and I think when it comes to written pages on my website, which can be rather dull, they add a little something extra.
