I have a feeling this poll didn't so much discover what peoples favortite book is as it discovered what the first book people can think of is.

"Men chose J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings""... What they mean is "men liked the film".

    I love these worthless polls.
First of all, 2500 people is barely a fraction of the estimated 300 million people living in the us. And where is the demographic breakdown of the group.
    All polls are rubbish.

Nothing represents this country better than Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The Bible has an advantage in that it's been around for a long time and people think they're supposed to love it. I'd really like to quiz the people who answered "The Bible" on this poll with some simple questions about its actual contents.

That's a good point. I remember someone done some interviews with people protesting the decision to remove the ten commandments from a court house. Not a single person could name all the commandments.... But that didn't stop them telling everyone else how important they are.
