The Jews decided to invade Palestine and murder or make into refugee everyone there. My sympathy level for them is correspondingly minimal.

Every Palestinian is not a "tent living refugee." Plenty live in apartments in Israel.

In the Old City, the Wall (or Second Temple) has been standing there for centuries. Who built it? So exactly who is it that invaded whose country?

I guess "Muslim extremist" doesn't apply to the dozens of suicide bombers to blow up any kind of person in this "Palestine" - even civilians or tourists eating in a restaurant - just to make a point.

It's pretty disgusting that you use those that died in the holocaust to gain sympathy and use them to justify the actions of the Israeli government. No matter how all this started as long as Israel keep building illegal settlements, dropping bombs on civilians, building their appartheid wall, keep palestinians as prisoners in their own home and as long as Palestine keep firing rockets into Israel, bombing and shooting innocent civilians this conflict will continue. It can be the other way around too. Don't forget that Nazi were winning the war in the beginning too and were happy with conquering different countries. What is going to happen in a future when USA is just another second rate power and can not support Israel in the same way or if U.S. politicans start to get used to Arab money and start supporting them instead of Israel?

Nobody is using the Holocaust as sympathy and was used as the connection between El Mufti and Hitler, which may have escaped you. What is disgusting is the inability to read and readiness to convict. As was repeated 10,000 times, there are more sides than just the Israelis v. the Palestinians that need to talk. If you want to talk about illegalities, you must talk about the billions of dollars and over 1 million Jews who were expelled from all the neighboring Arab Nations and for centuries and to this day, do not even have the rights that the Palestinians have in Israel! WHAT HAVE YOU PROPOSED TO DO FOR THEM? Absolutely zero. How about the fairness for Christians and Jews in the adjoining countries you are asking for on behalf of the Palestinians? Nada.

That said, the only group deliberately targeting innocent, unarmed civilians is an Arab/Palestinian terrorist group called Hamas which literally means violence. They make it no secret that their mission is to never have peace but the destruction of Israel. READ THEIR CHARTER. Read the PLO charter. Read Arafat's words about the "Liberation" of the people and what needs to be done.

Now if the Arab Nations wouldn't have treated Christians and Jews as dhimmi, forced conversions and expelled them, the "Palestinian" Arabs and Jews wouldn't have any of the problems they have today. As it stands, only Muslims have rights throughout the Middle East. All of you can yell and scream about rights of refugees when the real refugees are the non-Muslims who have no other place to live with equal rights but Israel.

NP. I'm not sure of your point with the latter statement. There are Palestinians who also live in a 5 bedroom apartment in Jerusalem too. But there are a significant group of Palestinians and Fundamentalist Arabs who are part of this group called Hamas and they and other similar groups (1) are sending in rockets and suicide bombers to kill any innocent civilian because (2) they simply want to destroy Israel and cost is of no concern. The killing will never stop until Israel is destroyed. That's of serious concern and that's the point. Until these groups are destroyed, peace can never be a serious discussion unfortunately.
