Personally, I like when idiots post the red rep they got. First, it is usually something amusing. Second, it shows that the rep really got under their skin for whatever reason. The idea that some of these people get so worked up over a red rep is pretty funny, or is it sad?

I was really amused the last month at a couple people going so far as to offer to pay a bounty for the ID of the red rep giver.

As for people not leaving their names, it makes sense to me seeing the reactions. It forces them to focus on the content of the rep and not the person who gave it.

Also interesting arguments defending forum rep attacks from the guys with the most green rep. I've been repped for complaining before, likely from Mia as he admits to that tactic, but for some reason, he will rep outside P&R and never sign his reps.

Doesn't bother me none. When I got here, I was under constant attack, racist and vulgar rep comments, the works. It can be overcome, even when done outside P&R, to damage a poster's credibility on the rest of the forum.

That's patently obvious mate, look at people like Mia, GTech and d16man for example. 99.99% of their posts are in either P&R or General Discussion, nowhere else. See how much green they have.

They all know that repping OUTSIDE of P&R/GD forums carries more rep (when repping positive OR negative) so they all love each other up by finding each others posts outside of P&R/GD until they get to the level that they are at now where it counts the same wherever.
How on earth can someone like d16man have so much rep? You do the math.

The majority of my rep has come from people I do not know, mods, and people I have helped in the Buy/Sell, Directories, Optigold, AdSense, Amazon, and Gen chat (non-P/R) forums. I've received rep in the P/R as well.. There is no difference in how it is weighted.

I've Green Repped, and Been Green repped by the people many would consider would be giving me red or visa versa...

Frankly I don't have the time to run around and go on rep frenzies... I've been here 10 years. In that time, I've made a hell of a lot of friends.

I have done the math, and it is not 99.99%. d16man has so much rep for the same reason people like Timsdd and Buffalo have so much rep in such a short time.. They are nice, cool people. They are helpful, funny, and friendly.... I've never heard either one of them call someone a cunt, which you have done about 99.99% of the time you have been here.

No, what managed to keep you Red for a long time was the fact that you called people "cunt's" repeatedly. You attacked and verbally insulted everyone you could, including moderators with some serious profanity and foul metaphors, shall we say.

You got smacked several times because of it, from infractions to bans, until you finally calmed down a bit.

Really? GRIM and I disagree on a great many things, Bush aside, but neither seem to red rep each other. And he is certainly not on the lower end, nor are a great many here, like Gworld, for instance.
