This is where domain disputes are settled: http://arbiter.wipo.int/domains/decisions/index.html You can read about the cases that have been resolved recently. It seems the majority are pharm companies taking names that contain their drugs in the URL and also celebrities taking their names. The most recent one was Deustche Post trying to forcibly acquire "post.com" which was summarily denied. Most of the cases though are valid and the names are transferred to the complainants. Check out this one though, it is a bit worrisome: http://arbiter.wipo.int/domains/decisions/html/2006/d2006-0017.html Someone registered LDMG.com in 2005. A business with those initials (who had not bothered to register the domain) then forcibly took it from the original registrant. So if you have a 4-letter domain and you want to keep it, put something up on it that makes use of the acronym.
I talked to him.. He's not actively selling the canadianidol.com domain. ... however i imagine he's already received offers. ..he wouldnt say if he did or not...
According to my conversation with the canadianidol.com domain registrant.. The canadianidol.com domain owner is not actively selling the domain. However, he cant stop people, etc.. from making Offers or a Suggestions.
