Sorry, but I don't like your argumentation technique. Instead of answering my objective statements about the massacre, you throw out some regular half intended gworld-style-insults in this thread. You need to get rid of that ring, Gollum!

You seem to do a fine job when it comes to bin laden or jose padilla. But hey, we're just ignorant Americans to gworld.

It's amazing the level that US forces will go to. I cannot imagine how anyone could keep up high moral knowing all that training, all that work those brave soilders have put forth went into saving a couple of Canadians in Iraq. Yikes.

After 200+ years living under the American shield of protection, most seem to take that for granted.

Jeremy, it was 2 Canadians and a Brit.
Instead of piling on and taking GTech's or Will's word as truth, please read the account in the news. Show some independant thought.

There, I changed it to a couple of... The original point still stands. I did read the story yesterday, and vaguely remember it amidst everything else I have to digest in a day. The original CNN story I read mentioned, Canadians so prolifically, I really do not remember seeing a brit listed.

However, it looks like the freed British hostage (Norman Kember) actually praised and thanked the soldiers that rescued him.

So I apologize for lumping him in with the pair of "pigphuckers". Although it did take some prompting to get him to thank his rescuers. He's lucky to still have his head.

Again, Jeremy, some independant thought is required here.

The 3 men that were rescued did NOT complain about anything in that story. The person that commented was in Toronto, offering the comments as a member of the group called the "Christian Peacemaker Teams". The person who made the comments was never one of the hostages.

Characterizing the hostages as ingrateful is misleading.

You wouldn't know an independent thought if it bit you in the arse.

I'm not sure what "ingrateful" is. Is that the opposite of "ungrateful"?

What the 3 men did, was nothing... They did not thank the soldiers for their rescue. I'm reading this in liberal publications. That's all I have to go on. That and what their abusive left wing nut case Christian organization had to say on their web site.

All I've got to go on to form an opinion is what is written in the media. Sounds kind of familiar doesn't it.

So, from my post, you "come back" with

    1. A personal insult.
    2. A comment about the incorrect use of a word.
    3. An assumption about whether or not the rescuers were thanked by the freed hostages.

I think you need to go and get some of your friends to help you out in this thread.

You have a point...beginning with the initial post...Ungrateful Canadians blast soldiers for their rescue. The real victims were the soldiers that put their lives on the line for some ungrateful terrorist supporters. Part of what the real story was, before someone decided to make it all about themself.

If the members of the group disagree with the anti-American statements of their group spokesperson, I would like to see them state that publicly and prove their goodwill by ejecting that spokesperson from their organization.

Until we see that, all we have is one anti-American Canadian claiming that these other Canadians are not anti-American. That's like Goering claming that Hitler doesn't dislike Jews.

Why not invade them? They don't have a proper army anyway, due to relying in that US will guard them all the time.

I am glad to see you say that, Will. GTech tried so desperately to obscure that fact over multiple posts.

Of course, you've now left poor GTech in a very precarious position. He is faced with deciding between going against a post that was made by his leader and commander in chief or doing the dreaded "flip-flop" by finally admitting that the statements were made by a member of this group.

My oh my! This is a nail-biter for sure.

It's pretty hard to obscure something when I myself noted not only the spokesman's name, but where he hailed from. In fact, it reinforced Will's argument that much more.

Spot on! I won't be holding my breath though. Besides, cole is the real victim. It's all about him!

No victim here, GTech. As difficult as it may be for you to understand, the story isn't about me.

BTW, nice backpedal. I can tell, you've done this before.
