I'm a Canadian, Will. And I'm not spitting on anybody.

Good, I'm glad we agree. I simply stated your post was not accurate.

I'm not disputing Canadians were not involved, though I've not seen the report. The point I was making is that since I had seen NO REPORT that said such, by your argument towards Will, I would be a liar for not including something I was not aware of at the time because a story was breaking.

The Canadians I love are fisherman. They love Walleye, Pike and the great outdoors (Canada is blest with beauty). But, I hate the cities like I hated Las Vegas.

I guess what I am saying is that the best people on earth love fishing!

I am just curious, I think you mentioned that you are from Sweden, have you ever lived in USA? If yes then where and for how long?

You'll have to, either, look outside Yahoo or wait until Yahoo updates their story with that information to get the details on that.

This whole thread is unnecessarily provocative and stupid. Sorry, but have to blame the OP here. Nice title for the thread. The next time I see a couple of
americans doing something dumb; I will be sure to make a post titled 'americans
this, americans that'. I don't know why the OP needs to make a big deal out of nationality when we're talking about 2 or 3 people here. So that equals a country? Get real.

The only story here is that a couple of these guys may be ungrateful jerks, if
they were really being down on americans for rescuing them. I'm sure most canadians would agree with me. Since social activist roles tends to attract leftists generally, including a more radical fringe, I wouldn't be surprised by
something like that. But as a canadian I certainly don't agree with it. They
should be profusely thanking their rescuers.

It wasn't even the people who were rescued that made the comments. That information is missing from the initial post.

It was their representative, who is Canadian, and was speaking on their behalf.

Was all of that information in the initial post?
I think we ALL understand that it was a Canadian, GTech. That's kind of difficult to miss in this thread. You don't have to continually point that out, unless you want to.

Was it in your post? No, it wasn't.

Did it need to be? What have I been saying about breaking stories and how many have different trivial details? But with this piece of information, it makes no difference, because it was a Canadian speaking on behalf of Candians. Whether it's there or not makes it no less accurate that "Canadians immediately blame America." Their spokesman said it, he's Canadian. What's the beef?

Suck it up man! We have nutjobs here in America too! They aren't just exclusive to Canada.

Yes, but if you want to be more accurate with your words, he was speaking on behalf of the "Christian Peacemaker Teams", which has offices worldwide.
It's NOT Yahoo, but I thought you might want to check it right now instead of waiting for Yahoo to update. About half way down the page, just under the e-mail alerts box...

But, like I said, you are free to make this a "Canadian thing" if you want to.

Breaking news: The hostages were wearing blue shoes and their Canadian spokesperson has a Dutch grandmother.

Everyone who failed to mention these details is a goddamned liar!

More accurate is speculative and does not mean inaccurate.

LOL, yeah, that's about the mentality. I have to admit though, it's probably the ONLY time we'll ever see the angry left trying to make light of something Christians did. Normally we'd have at least ten posts about "butt rights" by now and gworld would have filled up five pages with Catholic hatred and Nazi photos he steals from other sites.

    Imagine that, something new happened!

So, reporting that three Canadian hostages were freed is "speculative"?
Reporting that the American army was their "only" protection was "speculative"?
Reporting "These Canadians are just too blinded by their hatred of America to see that" was "speculative"?
Were these statements accurate? Or inaccurate?

    Bahahaha... what a whiner.

Awww... I misread. So shoot me. Or call me a liar. Or accuse me of click-bombing you. Or post that you are spitting at me. Or whatever. Make yourself happy.

Ooohhh... lemme correct... the American Army and a few hangers on from other forces who were there to get some media attention in a futile attempt to prove that their nations don't have their tails completely between their legs.

Some reports even say that we let them "lead", just like Charles de Gaulle.

That seems pretty spot-on, and every word you type just strengthens that argument.

Both! I missed that the group was a mixed bag of limeys and canucks.

Hey, if I had known there were limey's in the bag, I would have felt better about the rescue.

And then twist it around when responded to with an entirely different argument. Weak, very weak!
