Try using paypal instead, the fees are about 3% but its so much easier.

HSBC accept $$ cheques no problem. They charged me £10 to bank a $3000 cheque last week.

This is a right bastard at times.

I get this a lot (from Clickbank/Adbrite), you need to queue in the bank line and spend like 5 minutes filling in some paperwork for them to verify everything. It doesn't cost much for the service, but it's a lot more hassle, I'm too used to instant internet transactions I guess.

I am in the same boat, like in uk get US dollar cheques.... it is best to be sent a cheque rather than use paypal,

there have been many paypal complaints of money Stuck in accounts, and being lost in the cyber world, Why risk that ?

    just get sent a cheque!!

I USE HSBC - Just open up an account witt them, a debit card account. Each time you go there to put in ur $$ cheque, it wil just take about 7 mins as they have some paperwork to do, but who cares?just wait and it feels better that your account is growing....

Only setback they charge me £5 for every $500 dollars i deposit....... and like the other guy says a £10 fee for $3000 depositit, but if your buisnes is starting out, are you really going to make $3000 ?

    Jus get Hsbc account dddougal......
