I like today better than I liked the 90's. Those business cases built out of thin air really annoyed me. I was also pretty unhappy working with all of the talentless slugs who decided to join the IT industry just because they heard there was money in it. We're better off without both of those phenomena.
That I do like, is the web industry is starting to die down a little as far as people coming on and trying to make a buck, even though advanced design and programming is causing that, hopefully web design and the web itself is around for many years to come for us to enjoy and make a living off of.
Wow, you were able to figure it out! All those news sources reporting a thriving economy are the result of evil government agents working inside the press corps around the country, reporting drummed up reports for Bush about how good the economy is, while on the other hand, kicking him in the shins with angry reports about the Iraq war and anything else they can come up with to demoralize our country for the sake of "journalism!" I gotta hand it to you, yo-yo! Without alex jones, young angry white males with low IQs couldn't see the obvious! I guess we can't all drive a Ford Escort
Need I remind you that the US Government paid to place stories in newspapers? Exactly what job market do you think is "thriving" that actually pays good money? What job market do you see all those unemployed filling? I'm sure you actually believe the unemployed are now making $60k/year with our "thriving" economy... . I'm sure they didn't find slave wager jobs handed out by that rich 2% of the population getting tax breaks and paying employees $8.00/hour.
Yes, please, remind me where. Remind me why. Once you've done that, reconcile how you actually believe (I was just kidding, I had no idea you were really that guilible!) that the same journalists that Bush hires to write great stories about the economy, turn around the next day create their own stories about his national guard service, how wrong he is, how bad the iraq war is, etc. Does it have to be "exactly?" I said the economy is thriving and it is. I've not mentioned anything about a job market. Try this: come up from mother's basement, take the Ford Escort out for a drive around the city. Note ALL those new homes being built. Note all those new cars being driven. Note all the people out and about, earning a living. Note all those fine buildings where people that are willing to get off their can and go work for a living. It's all around you, every where you turn. For someone who hates this country and the government, you expect the government to hand people 60k per year jobs? We're not a socialist country here. There are no guarantees. If one wants success, one goes out and takes it. America is a country of opportunity, not a country of hand outs. Just another example of our youth today, that think everything is owed to them on a silver platter. Got news for you...ships don't come to shore, you have to swim out to them.
lol! My apologies for trying to explain such complexities in an over-simplified way. This, I understand, but the principle of controlling the dominant world currency remains the same -- all that is traded for gold, for example, is paper. Which is why I alluded to the fact that China currently sits on a vast reserve of US dollars. I use dollars whenever possible because even with the slice taken off for converting currency, it works out cheaper for me to buy in dollars than it does to buy in euros or GBP. Don't have the time. Yes, you have me there; I'm not an economist. I do believe I have a good grasp of the general situation however. I'm crushed. Really. It may be over-simplified but it isn't untrue. Exactly! The yuan is reported to be undervalued by 25%. Which makes brilliant financial sense if you are an emerging superpower, you want to rapidly expand your own economy and at the same time weaken that of your main opponent (the US) in order to gain the upper hand. I'm not talking a five year plan here, more like twenty (it's impossible to ignore the military aspect of China's future).
I believe they were paying to put positive stories in Iraq newspapers, but you can correct me if I'm wrong Hmm... you sure about that? You sure the same journalists that are in Iraq telling everyone how horrible it is, are the SAME journalists saying the economy is thriving? Want to source that please? Interesting. A thriving economy without a good job market? What a concept! I think you're right. Having 30% of the people working for slave labor at $7.50/hour to make 2% of the people rich... is exactly what a thriving economy is! You forgot to note that none of them own those houses or cars. Banks and loan companies do. You forgot to mention how nobody owns anything anymore, they just take out more loans than they can afford and PRETEND they own it.... but I'm sure you don't see anything wrong with that because you're probably one of them I never said it did or should. But if the government can't provide the basics, they shouldn't be stealing my money to pay for bombs and feeding all those families you'd like to force have children
Very good! But you forgot the why part? Because journalists refuse to cover anything positive. Because journalists are not objective and refuse to do their jobs. Good try, but I mentioned nothing about journalists in Iraq. Is that something you can source, or another myth like molten steel? Just because that's what you earn, doesn't mean everyone else does. Nobody owns anything? No one owns a home or a car? I'd love to see you try and source that! Did I miss a time in history where people just went out and bought their own home by showing up at closing with coffee tins full of cash? What point in time do you recall where people go down and pay cash for a new car? I guess being as young as you are, you may not be aware, that people have always bought a home and cars on credit. Do I see anything wrong with it? You must be kidding? As if it's a bad thing! 60k is a lot more than basics. You have the right to work as hard as you want to be successful as you want. If you don't want children, take personal responsibility for your actions, instead of murdering them for your lack of personal responsibility. The silver spoon generation
Ah, always an excuse for the government but never for your struggling fellow Americans, what a patriot you are. Hmm,... so you were talking about journalists covering stories they didn't even see or were a part of? Not the ones who were there to actually, report on it? Well ok, why don't you source some of those journalists you were talking about then.... The rich upper class and probably a small percentage of the rest of us actually own.... but the big majority of middle-to-lower class likes to say they "own" that new $28,000 car or say they "own" that 4 bedroom house in the burbs... but as I said before - we all know thats BS. They've got 28 more years to pay for the house (that they're just going to get a 2nd mortgage on) and still owe $26,000 on the car because 2/3rd of their payment gos to finance charges.
All countries have a trade deficit (maybe except for China and Middle east countries). True American trade deficit is at it's highest since Reagan ( i think). The next leader (president) of America will probably be a left leader, in the sense will probably prioritise social welfare more than the current president. I am a European so i am not that up to date in American politics. But there will be a recovery in the trade deficit, USA won't go bankrupt.
Okay, I thought you were suggesting that the Chinese would hurt the US by basing their currency on that of others instead of ours (which would of course be incorrect).
