AMD64 Sempron 3100 or Intel Pentium Dual Core 920 2.8Ghz

    sorry for my stupid question but i'm not good at hardware .

    i need to decide a server . i have two alternatives .both of them has 1gb ram .

    which cpu is faster ? AMD64 Sempron 3100 or Intel Pentium Dual Core 920 2.8Ghz ?

    I prefer AMD, for standard PC, but go for the duel core for a server. Can run more apps (multi threading etc).

    The Intel Pentium dual core CPU is by far more poweful than the Sempron.
