AMD has announced the arrival of its flagship processor, the long-awaited Bulldozer processor. But the reviews it is getting is not as encouraging as it should. Here is a link to read more about the bulldozer

The new processor looks good. AMD is well known for producing cheaper chips at more power compared to Intel.

I've had AMD processors since the early Athlon's (700mhz I think), but switched to Intel a few years back when their Phenom II and triple core cpu's had a lot of problems. Also Intel were getting cheaper too

AMD processors were ace for gaming back when I used to play games on the PC alot, mainly because overclocking them was real easy, anyone remember the pencil trick where all you needed to do was draw a line between terminals? haha

i am using amd past 4 years and its good ain feature is AM3 processors accept both DDR2 AND DDR3 RAM .
new processor already made a record . we can hope for sharp price fall because they are costy

Bulldozer is correct in at least its first 4 letters.

It may beat Intel for software that uses the GPU for FP, or for scalable multi-processor code, but that's not 2011 code, that's more 2021 code, and by that time we'll be looking for much more powerful processors.

    Nope..
    Nope..

    Nope again..

Bulldozer is waste of money.. It doesn't provide you significant boost over older AMD processors and doesn't come anywhere close to sandy bridge's performance..

If you have an AMD based system already, and you want to upgrade.. look for 4 core or 3 core Athlon processors.
If Athlon is not enough for you (which by the way beats some core i3s, thanks to extra physical cores) Look for core i5..

I can't recommend Phenom II or Bulldozer to anyone, unless you are in some heavily multi-threaded apps (like 3dS Max), which I seriously doubt you are..

I am not sure about the Buldozer processor but i have been using old version processor of AMD in one of my office PC's and i feel that there is no difference between the intel powered and AMD powered processors both are of same functioning and all, but i don't know ehy AMD is very back in it's market. Let's see what will happen with AMD buldozer processor. I wish to see all of your opinions on this.
