I live in a condo and the association's president harasses us because we have a small pet dog (loso apsa). The dog leaves yellow spots sometimes after urination. He tells me to walk the dog off property or have it go in the garage. He also charged us $125. for about 10 yellow spot and 10 dark green spot to be repaired. He had my mom in tears, John stooped by every day telling us to walk the dog or train it to use the house as a potty pad. We made a complaint and was told we have no right to complain about a 30 foot 5th wheel being parked in the lot next door. We cant see out our window and the rules state you can only have the trailer parked for 48 hours, its now going on 5 days and our complaint was said to be frivolous do to us having a Pet. Will I get sued if I created a website called (amberestatescondosucks.com)
even if it isn't i'm sure it'll be more trouble than it's worth. your traffic would be limited to people considering to move there, so it really wouldn't be that successful. but what you can do, is make a blog, and add that as one of the entries, using all the nasty terrible words you want to
I dont want to say nasty things or bad words, its just how unfair these people are. We got a Lawyer and John stopped coming by every day, but now they ignore our concerns (we cant see out our window) and dont abide by their own rules. Amberestates is a new place and the association management is very new. We will contact our lawyer again but this is wasted time for all and any one that wants to move in this place.
so I dont know if this is exactly legal... you will probably get at least a legal letter as it would not be good press for the condos, but if you want to make a statement I say go ahead with your site. BE SURE TO ONLY TELL THE TRUTH, THIS MEANS TRUE, OBJECTIVE EXAMPLES OF WHAT HAPPENED. Then on the site tell how you felt about the exact incidences that happened. Maybe take pictures of the property... EX. Piles of poo of any other animals, THe big trailer you mention never gets moved, etc, etc. Make sure you do not lie and say that management does things if they do not. Ive heard that truth is an absolute defense to libel. THen to get some publicity take out a 5 dollar ad in the classified section of your local newspaper. Trust me... your manager will hear about it. When he comes and knocks on the door dont say you have any demands to take the site down, wait for him to cave first (or hand you a C&D letter.) Would be fun for me to hear how this turns out as I've had a few landlords I don't like but havnt had the time to go through the trouble of trying to create bad press to send their way. One last note... KARMA IS A BITCH!
I don't think they can sue you, just don't say shit that isn't true, if you did, that would be SLANDER. If you just make the site, you can call it under the first amendment.
